Body piercing has become very popular over the past decade, so much so that girls having their navels pierced is as acceptable as having their ears pierced. In a lot of respects body piercing goes hand in hand with tattooing as most tattoo studios offer body piercing as well. From a photographic point of view the amount of people that I’ve photographed that have body piercing has steadily increased. So much so that there are now magazines available, which are mainly, dedicated to the art of body piercing.

I am the editor of one such magazine, PIERCED, It is a supplement to tattoo life magazine and comes out 3 times a year at present, although we are working to make it a mainstream title in it’s own right within the next 12 months.
